If you search Sundresses & Shrimp Boots, over a decade later our signature party pops right up. Louisiana loves its culture, cuisine, and classic icons.
Child Advocacy Services is thrilled to announce SUNDRESSES & SHRIMP BOOTS is BACK. A little more flare, a lot more FUN, with a side of historic charm. Come Sip, Stroll, and share a Sunset Social in Historic St. Francisville to Support Services for Children through Child Advocacy Services.
The Mallory of St. Francisville proudly hosts our 2024 Sundresses & Shrimp Boots on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. This party will celebrate and recognize partners pledging to keep children safe and say thanks to ALL our service share-holders. https://www.the-mallory.com
Some say they are cooler, others say white shows up in murky waters…many simply believe white doesn’t scuff your boat. Louisiana has many legends around our cultural icons and classic symbol - da Shrimp Boot. Canal crusaders, swamp Nikes, Cocodrie Converse, or Cajun Reeboks are just a few names, but for us, it just means Cool and Casual.
Child Advocacy Services proudly serves children and families in ten parishes in Southeast Louisiana through both Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) Programs.
“Our partners make it possible for us to serve children. They are our “boots on the ground” in helping children reach a loving, safe, and healthy home.” We could not continue this work without them. This fall, CAS is resurrecting its FUN event simply to say thanks to those who helped in 2024, recognize their commitments, and Kick-Off 2025’s Threading Hope-Buttons of Bravery child sponsorship program.
Join us in bringing back a fun fall afternoon in a beautiful setting for helping serve children!
TICKETS to 2024 SDSB may be purchased at http://www.childadv.net and $5.41 X 12 months = $65 - an annual recurring share in services to children.
Join other courageous adults and start your journey! Help children have a safe and healthy childhood. Buttons of Bravery represents the journey of One Child for One Year under the care of CAS. 1541 is the cost for services for one child for one entire year. Like buttons, children come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. ALL need a thread to hold them together. It takes many threads to connect and let them know there is hope. $5.41, $15.41, $1541 – size no matter, many are needed. Your ticket includes services to children through Child Advocacy Services.
Attire - Shrimp Boots, of course! Be casual comfy.
We encourage you to wear some flare, decorate yours, and see custom designed Shrimp Boots from local artists to be auctioned from the theme of Famous Louisiana Landmarks and Scenes.
